Function

The 106-RPS-8700pressure relief valve, which is UL/FM labelled and, automatically relieves excess pressure in the fire protection system to dicharge. The RPS series valves will also automatically modulate to relieve excess pump capacity during pump start up and shut down to reduce damage caused by water hammerThese valves are based on the 106-PG or A106-PG main valves,  and come in complete range of sizes from 2 1/2in / 65mm to 8in / 200mm. In typical pressure relief applications, the angle style A106- RPS-8700A is usually the preferred option.

Specifications

?106-RPS-8700A, certified by UL/FM, of “2.5-8” in size, ANSI Class 150 (ANSI 300) pressure class/flange standard, ball (angle), style valves. Please see below for the spring range of 81-RP pressure relief valve (normally closed valve)  and the Singer preset value.
? The valve shall remain close until the inlet pressure exceeds the preset value. The valve shall be turned on quickly to adjust the upstream pressure to the preset point.
?Tests before delivery include UL & FM certified hydrostatic tests and Singer full function tests.
